I just came back from Las Vegas and if you haven’t been you should add it to your bucket list. Las Vegas is a dry, hot desert destination but fortunately, it’s not humid. Las Vegas isn’t just about gambling, it also offers amazing shows, great shopping, some of the best dining, tons of nightlight from bar hopping to clubbing into the early morning, and of course weddings!
When staying in Vegas you want to stay on “the strip”. This is where all the action is and is easily walkable from the hotels here. When staying off the strip, yes you may save some money on the hotel (not much) but you are going to be spending it on cabs or buses to get you around. The strip offers budget friendly hotels all the way up to high roller suite hotels, there is something for everyone’s taste and budget. Most hotels have state of the art casinos and relaxing pools. With the pools and almost year-round nice weather, you can still take an afternoon or day to sit poolside and relax. Even if you don’t gamble take some time to go through the hotel lobby’s and casinos, each have their own theme or signature elements.
Although the USD dollar is still higher than ours, you can always find a deal in Vegas on food and drinks. Many bars offer happy hour where you buy one drink and get the second one free during certain times of the day. When you’re gambling at the casinos you also get free drinks. You’ll also see many promoters walking the streets, if you are interested in going to a club talk to these people, they’ll get you on a VIP list which will shorten the wait time to get in, usually free cover, and ladies can drink free some nights. You’ll also see in the back of cab seats, and hotel lobbies coupon books, where you will find 2 for 1 buffet coupons or ads for free apps etc.
You have to see at least one show. These high-end production shows will definitely entertain you. Whether you want a dinner show, magic show, top celebrity concerts, Cirque du Soleil, or showgirls, Las Vegas has it all. If you’re open to what night you can see it or where you’ll be sitting you might want to hold off until you arrive to get your tickets. When staying at certain hotels you can receive discounts to their in-house shows, or when you’re walking the streets look for the big yellow box office advertising discount show tickets. I’ve seen shows up to 65% off for that night.
If you’re staying for three nights or longer you might want to look into traveling to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. With only a three hour drive or 45-minute helicopter ride the views and history on these monumental areas are fantastic and worth every penny. You’re able to rent a car and drive at your own pace or take a tour with a knowledgeable guide, you won’t be disappointed.
Destination weddings in Las Vegas are very popular with over 115,00 yearly.
If you’re looking for a picturesque mountain wedding, a Hollywood feel on the Vegas strip, or just a drive through, Las Vegas offers the venue you want whether you’re on a budget or the sky is the limit. Most hotels offer wedding chapels and most restaurants offer wedding ceremonies, it can’t get any easier.
A trip to Las Vegas can be as relaxing or jam packed as you would like but it’s definitely worth a look when planning your next vacation.
