BY SABRINA S – 13 YEARS OLD
It feels like 2020 just ended but it has actually been almost two years since the Covid outbreak happened. Time has flown by super-fast. It feels like just yesterday, the new school year started. It’s already December! Where did all the time go?
2021 was crazy, it started off with hopes that nothing bad would happen.
Then, some schools in Brampton were shut down and they returned to online education, I think this happened twice. I was already doing online school when this happened, so it didn’t affect me much.
I got to see my father in-person after almost two years!
I celebrated my thirteenth birthday with my family and friends. I saw some friends that I hadn’t seen since the outbreak started. I got the Covid vaccine, both doses, it wasn’t painful at first but when I came home my arm was swollen and hurting. I’m grateful I got it though. Now I can go into restaurants and not worry about getting kicked out.
In the summer, my brother and I decided to volunteer at Ruby Sahota’s campaign.
I got to see Ruby and I even interviewed her so I could write an article about her.
She even came to my birthday party!
Now that the year is coming to an end, I can’t wait to see what adventures I go on in 2022.
I hope the year 2022 is filled with happy moments for everyone.
Since the New Year is very close, it’s time for New Years’ resolutions. My resolution is to wake up on time and make sure to submit all my assignments on time too. I don’t have a problem with submitting homework on time, but I need to be a little bit more proactive when it comes to starting the assignment.
No more procrastination! A New Year, a new me!
