Are you looking to escape the cold and kids and just get away somewhere that offers the best spa treatments you can get? Look no further: the Caribbean Islands are one of the best ways to unwind and relax. More and more hotel chains are starting to offer lots of treatments to choose from, but here are my top picks for everyone’s budget.

At the top of my list is The Body Holiday Le sport in St Lucia. This all-inclusive resort may be at the top for budget, but you will love their healthy holiday experience. This hotel is voted one of the best spa destinations in the world and offers a list of first class treatments. They are experienced and offer daily fitness and activities, mind and body, or spa treatments to participate in. The best part is that it’s already included in the all-inclusive program. Guests get a complimentary 50-minute daily spa treatment at the wellness centre and one of my favourite spots at the hotel. It’s away from the main resort with breathtaking views of the mountainous island. Choose from body scrubs, massages and hydrotherapy tubs to unwind and leaving your skin feel silky smooth. You can also upgrade your treatments at a cost to get more massage options, Reiki and Acupuncture. This resort also offers a variety of yoga and Pilates scheduled daily with the option to add more private lessons if you can’t get enough. If you want to work up more of a sweat, high energetic classes may be for you. You can choose from spin classes, body toning, Zumba, Circuits, or maybe just a game of tennis. No matter what program you’re looking to take advantage of, you will leave feeling relaxed.

Sugar Ridge Antigua also combines fitness and spa all in one spot. The resort is built into a hill with a more modern flare and stunning views from each room. The fitness centre has thirty pieces of cybex equipment, so tackle on every part of your body as well as a Yoga and Pilates Studio, Beach boot camp, Karate, and toning classes daily. This spa has teamed up with Aveda who were founded in the healing tradition from India. The spa offers four treatment rooms and a salon for facials, nail and hair treatments.

The Grand Palladium Resort and Spa in the Mayan Riviera is a larger hotel located on a property with other sister hotels that make up the Palladium complex. You have the option for family friendly and activity filled, or upgrade to adults only with a more relaxed atmosphere. This chain has it all. Great food, excellent service and located on a good stretch of beach. Now let’s talk about the spa here. This is one of the nicest spas I’ve seen in the Caribbean. For only $10 a day you can have access to a gymnasium with modern equipment, a Jacuzzi, sauna (dry and wet), pool, waterfalls, relaxing room and vapor baths. It has a classic colonial look with a zen atmosphere. You also have to pay for luxurious massages, beauty treatments, and the list goes on and on.

For a more budget friendly option I would look at the Paradisus Princesa Del Mar Resort at one of the better adult-only hotels in Cuba. This hotel is located on a beautiful white sandy beach with friendly staff, and great food for Cuban standards. There is lots of selection to choose from and not eating the same thing daily. The spa here is smaller but you get the best stretch of your dollar. It’s more traditional than modern with a lovely garden surrounding it. Take advantage of the steam bath, Scottish shower, and hydro massage tubs included at this spa. You also have the option to pay for a massage, scrubs or mud therapy at a very affordable cost compared to other spas in the Caribbean for the same treatment. You won’t be disappointed with the cost for this hotel.
