Don’t you love hearing an oldie but goodie on the radio, and suddenly apply its message to current affairs? Listen…
And the sign said, “People without masks need not apply.”
So I put on a mask and went inside to ask him why.
He said, “You look like a fine outstanding man, I think you’ll do”
So I took off my mask and said, “Imagine that, me working for you”
Signs signs everywhere a sign.
Blocking out the scenery and breaking my mind
Do this, do that; can’t you read the signs?
The sign said anyone caught without a mask would be ostracized
So, I jumped onto the fence and-a yelled at the house, “Hey what gives you the right.”
“To put up a barrier to keep me out and let others in,
If God were here he’d tell you to your face, man your some kind of sinner.”
Now hey you mister, can’t you read?
You got to have a mask and Covid Pass to get a seat,
You can’t even watch; no you cannot eat.
You’re not supposed to be here.
The sign said you have to have a Covid Pass to get inside.
The sign said everyone welcome, come in, kneel and pray.
When they passed around the plate at the end of it all, I didn’t have anything to pay.
So I got myself a pen and paper, and I made my own little sign saying,
Thank you Lord for thinking of me, I’m alive and doing fine. (Thanks Five-Man Electrical Band).
Many of our neighbours are not vaccinated, and many too have difficulties wearing masks. Being told what to do, often ostracized for doing what they think is right. Freedom of choice is all we have folks, freedom to think for ourselves and act upon our principles.
Let’s think about our fellow citizens and treat them, as we’d like to be treated.
