Have you ever known the answer to something in class, but didn’t raise your hand because you thought it was incorrect? This feeling is called doubt, and it’s one of the many things that ruin people’s lives.
Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is doubt? Well, doubt is the feeling of uncertainty. Many people experience this feeling on a day-to-day basis, which can affect many things that happen in their lives. For example, let’s say you get an amazing job opportunity that would affect your life positively, doubt would make you second guess yourself causing you to dodge the opportunity.
In addition to that, doubt can lead to several issues, such as: anxiety, depression, procrastination, lack of motivation, and even low self-esteem. It’s unfortunate to see these things happening to someone, which is why you should try to encourage others that have doubts to elevate themselves towards excellence and take risks.
Since I’ve shown you all the negative things that can happen to you if you have doubts, I might as well show you how to overcome them. To overcome doubt, you have to do things that won’t affect your body and soul negatively. For instance, being kind to yourself, thinking mindfully and positively, not comparing yourself to others, finding people that accept you for who you are and support you, and don’t be afraid to seek professional help.
Playing mind games with yourself and having to constantly fight or argue with yourself over important things isn’t going to help you achieve success in life. Sometimes you’re going to have to be your own cheerleader, but there is no possible way to do that if you doubt yourself every day.
If you follow the steps to improve yourself mentally and spiritually, life will be like a calm breeze passing by you. Like Brian Tracy said, “Fear and self-doubt have always been the greatest enemies of human potential.”
