There are many types of art: music, dance, visual, architecture, computerized, religious, and well, the art you would probably do in art class or in your free time. The type of art we are talking about is the one where you make things and use your imagination (though you might be one of those people who use it all the time). There are many famous art personalities in the world, some you might know and others you might not know, here are a few: Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Michelangelo, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Edvard Munch, and Claude Monet.

The type of art I am going to be writing about is comic art. There are many well-known comic artists such as Raina Telgemeier, Fiona Staples, Grant Morrison, Neil Gaiman, Dave Sim, Carmine Infantino, Tim Sale, Frank Quitely, Lou Fine, Marie Severin, and Curt Swan. Comics are made in boxes called panels.

Comic panels have many different shapes, sizes, and looks. In each panel, there are characters, speech bubbles, and words. Making a comic is a long process, because of the time needed to come up with a story, create characters, and the time it takes to DRAW the characters. Once a rough draft of the comic is made they then: make a good copy, colour it, go over the lines with ink, get someone to edit it and once it is approved the comic gets published.
