Whether you’re travelling for business or pleasure you want to be able to free your mind for the main purpose of your trip and to de-stress at the same time. Airlines traditionally have three travel classes, First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. Depending on the cabin configuration will determine how many classes of service are offered. Here’s a breakdown of the classes of service for our standard airlines travelling between North American and the Caribbean.
Business Class, high quality, traditionally purchased by business travelers (sometimes called executive class).
Air Canada: All fares are non-transferable. Business Class (flexible), Premium Economy (flexible) and Latitude fares are fully refundable. Business Class (lowest), Premium Economy (lowest), Flex and Tango fares are non-refundable. The value of one unused ticket can be applied to the value of one new ticket provided outbound travel commences within one year of original ticket issuance. Change or reissue fees apply to each one-way segment. Customers who do not show up for their flight will forfeit the full amount of their ticket. Advance Seat Selection. 150%Aeroplan and Altitude Qualifying Miles. Priority Check-in, Baggage Handling and Boarding. Complimentary Lounge Access. Two Complimentary Bags. Complimentary Meals. Change fee is $75 plus fare difference for Business Class (lowest), Fare Difference for Business Class.
WestJet: Extra leg and elbow room. Complimentary beverages and meal including alcohol as well as a bottle of water upon boarding. Hot towel service. Choice of sandwich or salad with a side and dessert. Two checked bags. No change fees, difference in fare may apply. No cancellation fees. Advance boarding. Fully refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of booking.
Caribbean Air: First and second and third checked bag – complimentary. Fourth checked bag$175.00 US. Dedicated check-in. Business class lounge, offering privacy and comfort. Priority booking and baggage retrieval. Date change $75.00-$150.00 plus fare difference. Non-refundable.
Premium Economy, slightly better Economy Class seating (greater distance between rows of seats; the seats themselves may or may not be wider than regular economy class).
Air Canada: All fares are non-transferable. 125%Aeroplan and Altitude Qualifying Miles. Priority Check-in, Baggage Handling and Boarding. $25.00 Lounge Access. Premium Economy (flexible) and Latitude fares are fully refundable. Preferred Seating if travelling in Latitude. Two complimentary checked bags. Change fee is fare difference for Latitude.
WestJet: Flex Fare. Cancellation fee. Balance credited toward future WestJet flight purchases $50.00-$59.00. Fee for same-day flight changes at check in $50.00-$59.00. Name or itinerary change fee $50.00-$59.00. First Checked Bag free, second checked bag $25.00-$29.50.
Economy Class (also known as coach class or travel class), basic accommodation, commonly purchased by leisure travelers.
Air Canada: All fares are non-transferable. Change fee is $75.00 plus fare difference, additional fees may apply to change at the airport. 50%Aeroplan and Altitude Qualifying Miles Tango, 100% for Flex. First bag $25.00, second bag $35.00 checked per direction per person.
WestJet: Econo Fare. Cancellation fee. Balance credited toward future WestJet flight purchases $75.00-$88.50. Fee for same-day flight changes at check in $75.00-$88.50. Name or itinerary change fee $75.00-$88.50. First Checked Bag free, second checked bag $25.00-$29.50.
Caribbean Air: First checked bag – complimentary, second checked bag – $25.00 US, third checked bag – $100.00 US, fourth checked bag – $175.00 US. Date change $75.00-$150.00 US plus fare difference. Non-refundable.
