Winter Blues

A blanket of fluffy snow,

slowly covers the ground that has lived through another cycle.

Its winter’s warmth provides comfort,

as life rests and transitions.

Another lifetime completed,

by various plants and animals.

The trees shed its seasonal kaleidoscope of leaves

reserving energy as it enters its slumber.

The clouds become a majestic garment,

Not short of designs,

Sunsets that would soften critical hearts

Melting the ice particles inside the mind.

The endless rays of joy and laughter

And summer sauna that brought energy

Have slowly faded,

The radiant atmosphere withered.

Cool winds sweep away rugs,

Dust accumulated memories that would make anyone somber.

The quietness and stillness may bring ice teardrops

as the night barges in faster and remains longer.

Energy plummet into hibernation,

Dreaming winter wonderlands

Versus blizzards of nightmares haunting

Depression.

Enlighten conversations may feel foggy,

Just remember that are illusions.

To distract you from believing.

Fruitful seeds are resting to be in full blossom.

No winter blues can steal the rightful spot

Of your greatness.
