“Every summer has a story”

BY SABRINA S. – 11 YEARS OLD

Exams are over and school’s out. Kids are thinking, “Now what am I going to do with all this free time?” Sure, there are games to play, movies to watch and friends to hang out with. But due to this emergency situation, the whole world is disturbed. There are plenty of productive things to do during the holidays.

“Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.”

This year was very different for all students. We were introduced to a new system of education “online classes.” Reflect on the year gone by and set process goals for the coming semester. Educational videos and documentaries will increase our knowledge. Learn a new language.

“Even the smallest actions can make a big difference.”

Help the senior citizens in our community, learn time management skills, start sleeping well, exercising regularly, eating healthy, and improving your physical health. It’s better to utilize time by learning new skills like debating, cooking, drawing etc.

“The journey of a lifetime starts with the turning of a page.”

Read alot. Take online courses which are beneficial. Develop a new hobby; gardening, dancing, photography. Reconnect with family and learn more about your family history. Declutter, give away items you no longer use, organize your desk, set yourself up for a fruitful upcoming semester.

It’s important to have fun during the summer but it’s also important to be ready for the next school year.

“Be there for others but never leave yourself behind.”
