How writing serves me

BY SABRINA S. – 11 YEARS OLD

“Everything in life happens for a reason so live it, learn it and love it. Use your smile to change the world, don’t let the world change your smile.”

Letting your mind flow free on a piece of paper is the best way to reduce stress, anxiety and feel one’s emotions. I like to write because I find it like a puzzle, the corner pieces are like the introduction, then the pieces inside are like the middle and then the last few pieces remind me of the conclusion.

Writing is a platform where you can use your treasure of words and express yourself. ”Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.” When I write I do it to get away from technology. A problem of mine is to depend on technology and it seems everything can be done online. If you opt to use a pen and paper then you are keeping an eye on your handwriting, when you write on a computer it corrects you and you get distracted.

A daily writing habit will sweep your mind and remind you of forgotten tasks. Sweeping your mind will also make room for more knowledge and keep your mind fresh.

Writing will also help enhance your communication skills, writing can hone the skill of self-expression and this can improve your verbal communication as well.

In conclusion, writing serves me as a reset button and is like a puzzle.

“Life is simple, everything happens for you not to you.”
