The Poetic Word

What it means to be human

BY GLORIA O’KOYE

Too Many, Too Few

Too many issues to address

Yet not enough warriors to take the stand.

Too many injustices pouring out from the

Cup of wrath,

Yet too short of attention spans.

Too many hurts that needs to heal and

Tackle fast,

Yet too few that truly have the compassion to care,

And those with big hearts

The need is too much to solely withstand,

The burnout surpasses the moments of rest.

Too many mainstream coverage

Packed in censorship,

Yet too few to speak on meaningful matters

Which are easily forgotten.

Too much selfish motives

Not enough compassion.

This world needs to sit back

And remember what it means

To be human!
