America needs a youthful third party option

BY STEVEN KASZAB

The average age of US Members of Congress, Senate and House of Representative is 58 years. The senate is higher at 65 years old. Most members are ready for retirement. Seems like America wants to be ruled by their fathers and mothers. Problem with an antiquated government is that there is no ambition to change what has been proven ineffectual or change directions from traditional practices to more transparent and accountable ones.

This year’s election for President and all the other folks that will have a chance to misrepresent, lie to, and manipulate America’s electorate presents America with few leadership alternatives. Non terribly youthful, in fact many are aged, decrepit and ailing.

Donald Trump often says things, makes claims that are absolutely unbelievable. His opponent running for the leadership of the Republican Party Nikki Haley has forgotten the many times she supported the former President, and how many times she kissed his loafers. Republicans show little political policy, unless it is about: the southern border, illegal immigrants, and American security. Single plank platform accepted by all, promoted by many.

President Biden is an ill and elderly individual, and needs to separate himself from his son Hunter, and his dealings with just about every despot in the world today. When a running President like Biden is presented to the public, certain questions arise, such as how long will he last as their Commander-in-Chief?  How old is too old? Why can’t the pretty lady, Vice President Harris run for the top office in the land? Why does America have to pay the piper so their elder President can have one last hoorah?

With all the hot gas seeping out of Washington DC, the nation needs to fear the possibility of an ignition of that gas, and the possible explosion that will follow. Too many promises, too great an expectation of the nation to rise to its greatness.

America, home of the brave; deliver us all from the tyranny of geezer politics.
