Flashing lights
Fast life
Busy days and busy nights
Glass buildings and housing reaching
Towards the skies
Promising riches and rewards
While it hides,
On-going living costs and
Gentrifications
Misplacing families that had been standing
Strong
Fighting to survive
Nightlife holds tales of enjoyment
And reminders of being vigilant to be protected
Cultures stand out like a mosaic display,
Mixing and mingling
In crowded spaces
Different eyes
Different faces.
A smile holds stories
Of different emotions
So many voices
Coming from different directions
Clouding up the foggy minds
Like rush hour traffic
Take a break
Treat yourself
Gather loved ones to go to the woods,
You can even do it by yourself
Breathe in fresh air
Eat uncontaminated produce
Enjoy solitude in silence
You’ll think more things through
City life gets overhyped
But sooner or later
You’ll learn to appreciate the stillness and Peace
That the land and water provides
