Censored, and Cyber attacked; what did they not want you to see or hear at the Awakening World Truth Summit

“Your post will not be seen in the United Kingdom”

“What!” I said to Amanda, our communication handler for the day. “What do they mean that this post will not be seen in the United Kingdom.”

“That is what I said to myself Simone. What do they mean by that? How can they block our post from being seen in another country? When did that start happening?”

The Toronto Caribbean Newspaper/MyTCNTV Network team had started the year off with a bang. The phone was ringing off the hook; all of our phones were pinging with messages from people wondering why they couldn’t get onto our live stream. Trish Browning had sent us all messages saying that she had to be fielding messages from people wondering what was going on. Our Facebook messenger was quickly filling up, and Amanda could not keep up with the chat that was live on the Awakening website.

If I had not been there, I wouldn’t believe what I was seeing. In our country of Canada, a country that is envied for the fact that we have a Charter of Rights and Freedoms, I was witnessing censorship at the highest level.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone who brought their positive energy, and enthusiasm on Saturday, January 2nd, 2020, and I would like to re-welcome you to the Expose the Great Reset; The Awakening World Truth Summit.

I will never forget it. We were almost done filming for the Friday show, and Grant Browning (Founder of the Toronto Caribbean Newspaper/ MyTCNTV Network) called me into his office excitedly. “Simone,” he began, “Something came to me last night and I wanted to run it by you.”

I sat down quickly. I had seen this look in Grant’s eye before. He had this look right before he transformed the Carib101 Radio studio into the MyTCNTV Network studio.

“The Awakening. It came to me last night. I want to put on a summit that will bring together all of the leading experts that have been censored by the media. I want to provide a safe space for them to share their knowledge of what is happening in the world. I am not sure how we are going to do it yet, but I have some ideas brewing. The first thing I am going to have to figure out is how to get this on our own stream, otherwise they will censor and block what we are trying to do.”

This discussion happened, just a little over a month ago. From that discussion we began to think about who would be hosting it, the speakers we would have, and how we were going to market it.

It wasn’t too long before we got to work; I believe it might have been the next day. Each week we kept adding pieces to the puzzle: first we gathered our hosts for the day, which would be: Kerry Lee Crawford (re-owned media personality, and Founder of the LOVE Project), Jerrold Johnson (a consummate professional, and a man known for his ability to connect with people), and myself Simone Jennifer Smith (Founder of Hear 2 Help and Operations Manager at the Toronto Caribbean Newspaper).

We then had to decide on a date that worked for everyone. That was the tricky part. We finally decided on January 2nd, 2020, and from there we began to gather our speakers. The first person to say yes to us was David Icke. We knew we were off to a great start.

“Those that refuse to think for themselves are buried in the program. People do not want to face the reality that this so-called pandemic is not meant to have an endpoint.” David Icke

Each week, the team met up secretly. We wanted to keep our dialogue limited on technology. We had only a month to plan this, and it was going to be a lot of work. In each of our meetings we discussed strategies, along with who would be most suited to speak at the summit. Before long we had a list of desirables. Now, we just had to get them to be part of it.

We had been watching the media, and we saw how they had systematically begun to censor and put out hit pieces on certain individuals, two of which were speakers MPP Randy Hillier, and Pastor Henry Hildebrandt.

Pastor Henry was one of the few pastors who had not adhered to the no church restrictions and continued to preach to his supportive flock. Media had a field day with him, accusing him of anything that they could.

They really went after Randy Hillier. We even received an email from someone asking us if we knew that Randy was affiliated with racist groups. We did not respond because we knew what was happening. The person then put out a piece attacking not only Randy, but us for doing what we were doing. I guess they thought this would stop us. They thought wrong.

We added to the roaster Dr Rashid Buttar, and Constable Vincent Gircys, a retired member of the Ontario Provincial Police. Unfortunately, Dr Buttar was unable to make it on the day of, but Officer Gircys was able to come on and speak about the oath that he had taken as a police officer.

“I truly find what is happening in our province disturbing at all levels.” Constable Vincent Gricys

As the weeks quickly passed, we continued to strategically build our speakers for the summit. It was in the last week that we were introduced to the fact that Prime Minister Trudeau’s brother Kyle Kempler had been speaking out on what was happening. This was huge, and Grant immediately reached out to him. We didn’t hear from him until about four days before the summit, but when we did it was the answer we wanted to hear, “Yes, of course I will come on and speak.”

“Truth is treason in an empire of lies.” Kyle Kempler

I really enjoyed my dialogue with Kyle at the summit. When the attacks started on the website he sent us an email;

“I’m assuming you’re getting DDOS attacked and the stream isn’t working.
If you need any tech help let me know and I can call in some pros. I know that Jitsi is a good platform for streaming broadcasts.”

He verified what we had thought. We were being cyber attacked. This was why no one was able to get onto the stream, and if they did it was choppy, or it stopped working. What is interesting about the whole thing is that Grant and our IT team had been working on this stream for weeks. They had done their testing and run it days in advance. They had prepared it for the load that was expected that day, but we were not prepared for what was actually done.

I had never seen anything like it. A stream that was flowing perfectly before, all of a sudden was not working. After listening to our last speaker Dr Zev Zelenko, I completely understand why there was such disruption.

“I am prepared to die standing, then living in fear on my knees.” Dr Zelenko

Although Dr Zelenko is currently undergoing chemotherapy, this man came with information that I can understand people would want silenced. There were a couple things that he pointed out that I really want the world to hear. One topic in particular was about vaccines. First thing he noted was that he was not against them. “I am not against vaccines, as long as they are safe. It takes 20 million doses to verify efficacy of a vaccine. There has not been 20 million doses, so how can we call it safe.”

Such a powerful day, and at the end, we all just sat there in amazement. We had to take a minute to process what we had just undertaken, and figure out how we were going to get it out, uninterrupted to the world.

On Saturday, January 9th, the replay will be available, and don’t worry, this time we are not coming with swords to a gunfight.

We, as humans are guaranteed certain things in life: stressors, taxes, bills and death are the first thoughts that pop to mind. It is not uncommon that many people find a hard time dealing with these daily life stressors, and at times will find themselves losing control over their lives. Simone Jennifer Smith’s great passion is using the gifts that have been given to her, to help educate her clients on how to live meaningful lives. The Hear to Help Team consists of powerfully motivated individuals, who like Simone, see that there is a need in this world; a need for real connection. As the founder and Director of Hear 2 Help, Simone leads a team that goes out into the community day to day, servicing families with their educational, legal and mental health needs. Her dedication shows in her Toronto Caribbean newspaper articles, and in her role as a host on the TCN TV Network.

Blink equity dives deep into the gap between people of colour and decision-making roles in Canadian law firms

Representation in the workforce has been a topic of conversation for years, particularly in positions of influence, where people can shift laws and create fair policies for all races. Representation in the legal system is an even more talked about subject, with many Black men being subjected to racism in courts and not being given fair sentencing by judges.

The fear of Black men entering the system is something that plagues mothers and fathers as they watch their children grow up.

Blink Equity, a company led by Pako Tshiamala, has created an audit called the Blink Score. This audit targets law firms and seeks to identify specific practices reflecting racial diversity among them in Toronto. A score is given based on a few key performance indicators. These KPIs include hiring practices, retention of diverse talent, and racial representation at every level.

The Blink Score project aims to analyze law firms in Ontario with more than 50 lawyers. The Blink Score is a measurement tool that holds law firms accountable for their representation. Firms will be ranked, and the information will be made public for anyone to access.

This process is ambitious and seeks to give Canadian citizens a glimpse into how many people are represented across the legal field. While more and more people have access to higher education, there is still a gap between obtaining that higher education and working in a setting where change can be made. The corporate world, at its highest points, is almost always one race across the board, and very rarely do people of colour get into their ranks. They are made out to be an example of how anyone from a particular race can achieve success. However, this is the exception, not the rule. Nepotism plays a role in societal success; connections are a factor, and loyalty to race, even if people are acquainted.

People of colour comprise 16% of the total lawyers across the province. Positions at all levels range from 6% to 27%. These numbers display the racial disparity among law practitioners in positions of influence. Becoming a lawyer is undoubtedly a huge accomplishment. Still, when entering the workforce with other seasoned professionals, your academic accolades become second to your professional achievements and your position in the company.

What do these rankings ultimately mean? A potential for DEI-inclusive practices, perhaps? That isn’t something that someone would want in this kind of profession. This kind of audit also opens law firms up to intense criticism from people who put merit above all other aspects of professional advancement. On the other hand, there is a potential for firms to receive clientele based on their blink score, with higher ones having the chance to bring in more race-based clients who can help that law firm grow.

It is only the beginning, and changes will undoubtedly be made in the legal field as Blink Equity continues to dive deep into the gap between people of colour and decision-making roles in these law firms. This audit has the power to shift the power scale, and place people of colour in higher positions. There are hierarchies in any profession, and while every Lawyer is qualified to do what they are trained to do, it is no shock that some are considerably better than others at their jobs. The ones who know how to use this audit to their advantage will rise above the others and create a representative image for themselves among their population.

Canada is Sinking – Is there a correlation between the rising economic costs, and the siphoning of funds to other sources in Canada?

Published

on

BY ADRIAN REECE

At some point Toronto was a city that people enjoyed living in. Recent political leadership at every level of government has caused citizens to consider moving out of the country as a whole. The high cost of living, coupled with the difficulty affording housing, and remote work becoming more regular has made the rest of the world seem much more appealing for Canadians as a whole.

Many countries are offering travel perks and visas to travelers in the west, to encourage them to visit, or to even move into their countries. Costa Rica, Japan, and France currently have travel perks and have opened their borders to make it easier to enter. Specifically for Canadians and even more specifically Torontonians who work remotely, are looking to countries and cities with lower costs of living. The Canadian dollar goes far in other parts of the world.

We owe the struggling economy to a few factors. Political leadership has greatly impacted the state of Canada, immigration policies that have changed over the years have caused stress on Canadian citizens.

In 2023, the federal government released its new Immigration Levels Plan to welcome 485,000 permanent residents in 2024 and 500,000 in 2025 and 2026. This announcement came on the heels of an Environics public opinion survey revealing a significant increase in the number of Canadians who believe the country accepts too many immigrants. That marks a dramatic reversal from a year ago, when support for immigration levels stood at an all-time high.

The Trudeau led government has held true to their commitment to bring in millions of immigrants in a short span of time. Housing policy is draining the income of Canadians, and political debates do not provide any real answers towards understanding what is going on in the country. Consistent political scandals regarding Trudeau overspending, and not adhering to budgets, and using money that was originally allocated for certain things. Trudeau was audited and it was found that $123 million was given to ineligible businesses, or projects that should have never been awarded at all. This is one in a long list of Trudeau scandals that have been a part of Canada political identity for the last nine years.

Trudeau’s government has even siphoned off funds to their personal businesses, after audits by the auditor general, we have seen too many inconsistencies with the funding of the Trudeau government in misusing funds as well as money disappearing into places that it should not be going.

In June of this year, the auditor general (AG) released two reports about: improper contracting practices, conflict of interest, and funding provided for ineligible projects. What these reports brought to light is an unpleasant reality; politicians and bureaucrats in Ottawa do not always act in the best interest of Canadians.

According to the first AG report, Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), the federal agency responsible for funding green technology projects, demonstrated “significant lapses… in governance and stewardship of public funds.” Nearly 20% of the SDTC projects examined by the AG were in fact ineligible (based on the government’s own rules) for funding, with a total price tag of $59 million. There were also 90 instances where the SDTC ignored conflict of interest provisions while awarding $76 million to various projects. Indeed, the AG found 63 cases where SDTC agency directors voted in favour of payments to companies in which they had declared interest.

The second AG report focused on 97 contracts totaling $209 million awarded by the federal government to the McKinsey & Company consulting firm from 2011 to 2023. According to the AG, the government demonstrated “frequent disregard for procurement policies and guidance and that contracting practices often did not demonstrate value for money.” About 70% of these contracts were awarded non-competitively, meaning no other companies were permitted to bid on the contracts. Interesting!

These findings also follow an earlier report in February that found the federal government “repeatedly failed to follow good management practices in the: contracting, development, and implementation” of the ArriveCAN mobile app, which cost Canadian taxpayers at least $59.5 million.

Is there a correlation between the rising economic costs, and the siphoning of funds to other sources in Canada? Potentially, it will take a lot more investigation to confirm if that is really the case. However, Canadians can see that there has been a drastic change in the economy since the Trudeau government has come into power.

For governments to work there needs to be transparency, and there has been a lack there of in regard to our political leadership in the last few years. There are too many scandals and too many mishaps with money. Too many policies that do not benefit the citizenry, and not enough effort made to rectify the sinking economy.

Canada cannot continue to stay in these dire straits, we are sinking, and leadership plays a big role in the state of the country. We won’t see changes unless we demand it, we can take a page out of France’s method of protest; other countries have set a precedent of what their expectations are, and Canadians need to do the same. They need to demand change and implement strategies to achieve it. Within acceptable methods of protest there exists a strategy and method of changing the nature of Canada’s problems, but it starts with the citizenry. Coming together is the greatest power we have, and we need to utilize it.
