Do you have someone in your life that leaves you feeling like the life has been sucked out of you after you spend time with them? You may not even be with them in person, it can be through a phone call or texting. You just end up feeling drained and down after interacting with them. Chances are you may have encountered an Energy Vampire.

People who exhibit the qualities of energy vampires do not rise in the morning and look for unsuspecting people filled with positive energy to attack.  In fact, many of them don’t even know that they are sucking the energy right out of you.  They can’t sustain themselves energetically so they unknowingly attack out of self-preservation.

Does this mean you’re just screwed and going to be a victim for the rest of your life?  Thankfully not! Each of us have the ability to regulate our energy levels, however it is something that requires our attention and awareness. We need to recognize when our energy levels have taken a dip.

Often, when our energy is impacted and drops we can be susceptible to wandering spirits. If you could, liken your energy to a glass of water. The water being your energy and the glass representing your being.  If your glass is less than full there is room for more energy or water to be added. When our energy gets low and if we aren’t paying attention, anybody can top it up. This means that a wandering spirit can take up the space in your glass.

If you’ve ever said to yourself or had someone say to you, “you don’t seem like yourself”, it’s likely because a wandering spirit has jumped in. Our energy levels drop when we engage in lower frequency emotions, thoughts and actions over time. By keeping your energy in a positive space, you will keep your glass of water full of positive energy and prevent lower frequency energy to fill your glass.

The good news is that you are not vulnerable to energy vampires. Most of us think that we are at the mercy of the negative people around us.  That is simply untrue.  By staying in the positive zone, you eliminate the chance for their negative energies to impact you. They may still be in a dense and lower frequency energy, mood or vibration but when you remain strong it will not be able to impact you.
For the energy vampires in your life, send as much light and love towards them as you can possibly muster up. If they are feeling full, they will not be trying to suck the energy out of you. Should you feel that a wandering spirit has made its way into your being.  Focus on the feeling that doesn’t feel right to you and say, “Who does this belong to?”, there is no need to wait for a reply.  You then follow up with saying, return to sender. This will allow you to be energetically safe and keep your glass more than half full.
