Ever since the Northern Spotted Owls have gone extinct, Canada has been in absolute chaos. There’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide from these disgusting rodents. Spiders, flies, mice and lizards running down the streets, climbing the walls, and spreading like wildfire. Every corner you turn. They are everywhere! How could the demise of one species make an entire ecosystem, even worse, our country collapse, and why isn’t the government taking responsibility and initiative to solve it? The pushback of terrifying and even detrimental events by the government is beyond repair, and we are now stuck with a broken, dirty and most importantly divided Canada.
Alarm rings!
Phew, it was a dream, thank goodness it wasn’t real, or so they thought. Reality is nearing closer and closer than we know, a little too close.
According to https://www.change.org/, the Northern Spotted Owls are one of the rarest birds of prey in Canada, which have a shy nature and diminishing population. Their habitat was recently opened to logging companies, and it has been said that only one female owl remains in the wild. There have been attempts on mating them with captive owls, but each one that has been released was either found dead or injured.
The government and Environmental Federation have been “stressing” over the issue, yet they still have barely done anything, despite constant encouragement to double their efforts. The diagnosis of Problementia is a big deal and is not to be taken lightly in a literal sense. It most commonly affects the government, where they spew empty promises concerning a problem, and then “forget,” it even exists until it’s too late.
The Northern Spotted Owls are a vital species called keystone species that play such an important role in the survival of our ecosystems here in Canada, so imagine if one of these species were to disappear or go extinct. The entire ecosystem would be radically changed, or even worse, cease to exist. Think of it like taking the main character out of the story. For example, taking Ariel out of The Little Mermaid, wouldn’t be the same right?
The government needs to step up, to not only this issue, but to multiple current issues that can be solved. Not only do we deserve it, but the other organisms do as well. We do live on this earth together, might as well make sure it’s a safe place for us all.
