Keep your eyes on the stairs and your feet on the ground

BY SABRINA S. – 12 YEARS OLD

It is important to make goals and achieve them. For me, it’s how I function, if I don’t make a goal for myself in the morning, I will end up doing nothing.

Goals are like to-do lists. They tell me what I need to do before I relax and play games or hangout with my friends.

Something that is always on my to-do list is to get through school, I need to show my full concentration and keep my camera on so the teacher knows I am paying attention. This goal doesn’t just tell me to get through school and shut down my computer after school ends, no, it tells me to finish my homework and study for tests coming up for that week.

Another important suggestion is to make goals that you can achieve. Often I’ll make goals with too many things to accomplish by the end of the day which makes me feel like I didn’t do anything. Set achievable goals and give yourself breaks, the only way I kept sane during online school was to give myself breaks.

“Dreams don’t work unless you do”

Of-course, you need to do certain activities for you to achieve your goals. One of my favorite ways to achieve goals is to focus. I remove everything from my desk that distracts me and I turn off my devices while I do homework or school.

“Don’t let anything stop you from reaching your goal”.
