Societies we’re in
Do not respect rest.
Always on the go
Until our physical bodies crash.
Stress, blood pressure arises
As working overtime is a norm.
Not following the rules of healthy living,
Will have consequences
No manmade cure could save restless
Souls.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Every day is not guaranteed,
So we overwork out of fear.
But no one can deny,
Compassion fatigues and burnouts
Can hurt the love and mind.
Lack of sleep will produce
Less quality works.
So was it worth destroying your existence,
When you’ll be replaced in seconds
Once you can’t go
Any more steps?
Words of fake passion,
Pushes the edge of complete crash outs.
Bystanders bickering over workloads,
Disappearing at the first meltdown.
Putting in the work
Also includes Sabbath.
A time to recharge and reflect
To become better.
Even those we look up to
Have boundaries.
Through experience
They understand.
When to walk on the battlefields
From times of restoration.
The era of rest is worth more than
All of the expensive fragrances and jewels.
The enemy wants everyone to be worn out
To strike!
Rise above the opposition tactics,
By being the best as can be
By being renewed!
