Our governments are too fast and easy with the taxpayers cash

BY STEVEN KASZAB

The Canadian Federal Government is pursuing a 15 billion dollars cut from their budget, including a billion from National Defense (National Post). Strange, is it not, that they continue promising billions of dollars to various: sectors, nations, organizations like the Ukraine War Effort all the while paying people to find ways to cut their spending.

I do not agree with Pierre Poilievre on most things, but this I do, that our governments are too fast and easy with the taxpayers’ cash, spending freely while not making an effort to learn what we all know how to do, that is to say NO! Stop, circle the wagons and let’s take a break. Stop: buying, spending, giving our borrowed cash away.

Has the Liberal government not hired enough accountants; controllers capable of telling our elected officials the jig is up. The fat lady has been singing for years that our way into economic growth and massive debt does not work.

Ask why Scandinavians have the healthiest economies in the world with the highest taxes as well? They save, spend less, and manage their budgets.

I know it’s going to be difficult building the Liberal-NDP brand folks but remember why you were elected (manage the books properly). Remember you cannot receive forgiveness by buying those who were wronged (Aboriginals) or make new and better friends during a war we are not officially involved in (Russo-Ukraine Conflict). Cutting costs may well work, as to purchasing less of things we do not need, that the government thinks it needs.

As Nancy Regan said long ago about drugs, “Just say no!” My friends in the Liberal-NDP administration, listen; you are addicts, addicted to spending other people’s money. Stop right now, thank you very much. Realize you are hurting those you represent now and future generations to come.
