The Great Release – Full Moon in Cancer, December 29th & 30th

BY GARCIA AKUA

What a year we have been through! So much has happened in what seems like such a short time. The Universe really pushed us to the limit like the Rick Ross song, geez!

Now that we are approaching 2021, what have you learned this year? What new observations have you made about yourself and your surroundings? What new revelations have opened your eyes? What are you giving thanks for? And mostly importantly, what’s your next move with this newfound knowledge? Have you found your superpower?

If you have been rocking with me for a while, most of 2019 we spoke about emotional intelligence. The retrograde season of 2019 was heavily emotional driven. There was a strong focus on the Capricorn/Cancer axis. We were being challenged to balance our emotional needs with that of our work life and ambitions. Capricorn rules how we work, put our ambition to work and smash goals. Cancer rules our home life, family, children, motherly energy and healing. These lessons needed to be implemented as we entered 2020.

By March 2020, many of us were in lockdown, children could not go to school and many of us were working from home. You see how the energy played out? A lot of people found themselves overwhelmed mentally, physically and emotionally. Many relationships were put to the test; some didn’t make it to this Full Moon. We got to get our emotions in check!

In January 2020 we had our first full moon in Cancer. We started the year with an opportunity to release any emotional baggage we were carrying into the new decade. It’s no coincidence that we closed the year with yet another Full Moon in Cancer. We also had two New Moons in Cancer this year during the summer. Why all this Cancer energy you ask? Because we still have unfinished business around how we handle our emotions, how we relate to our childhood, and emotional wounds that need healing.

It’s our emotions that are holding us back. It is our emotions that keep us trapped in fear; it’s our emotions that are preventing us to be our authentic self.

The Universe is saying Rest, Release & Align.
