The Kay Morris Foundation continues to be the voice of the voiceless

It has been over twenty years now since the Kay Morris Foundation (KMF) has been making a difference in the lives of the downtrodden. the motto of KMF is “The Voice of the Voiceless.” Their mission is to cater to women and children (orphans) by providing them with the necessities of life (clothing, toiletries and toys). Their vision is to improve the standard of living by alleviating sickness and poverty in Africa, and other parts of the world. The objective of KMF is to relieve poverty in developing nations by providing food and other basic supplies to persons in need. Some of the programs that KMF are involved in include Meals In Motion Food Security, and its Children and Youth Mentoring Program that provides leadership training to individuals from age 12 to 21.
On Saturday, November 25th, 2023, Dr. Kay Morris celebrated her 63rd birthday in grand style at a Royal Banquet fundraising gala. This was the second event coming after the first one which was held in 2022. It featured a stellar lineup of multi-award-winning performers who showcased their diverse talents and skills. There were performances from: the Arch Angels Academy Dancers, Violinist-Amani Plunkett, Saxophonist Corden “Heavy Unit,” and Keyboardist Deon Flash
Dr. Kay mentioned that this event transcends an annual one and has now become a movement. “I have seen too many of our people having a mediocre mindset; they do not seem to know their God ID. The Bible states we are Royal Priesthood and so my intention is to create an atmosphere of excellence that will allow people to see themselves as God created them to be: Kings and Queens on earth. Of course, this requires a total mindset shift. For the most part, I find that people from across the globe are responding favourably because it resonates with them.”
The Royal Banquet Hall was decked out in regal fashion with purple being the dominant colour. The evening event was kickstarted with a red-carpet pre-show hosted by Vania “Ms. Vee” Edwards. She flew in from Washington, D.C. to grace the red carpet
with style. King Nana Yaw Osam 1 from Ghana, West Africa made his grand entrance along with his entourage. The crowd was captivated by his presence as he came in regal style. Ambassador Dr. Sharon Wiles came from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and hosted the main event. She skillfully and perfectly introduced each exciting aspect of the program.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Favour Adeyole, from Lagos, Nigeria was a presidential candidate in the 2023 Nigeria election. He states, “She is a great personality whose impact is worldwide.”
Kings and Queens of Purpose 2023 awards were presented to twelve individuals. They were given out by Andria Thompson – Mrs. Universe Jamaica 2023, Shannon Green-Director of Mrs. Universe Jamaica (Mrs. Universe Jamaica 2021), and Michelle Osei-Owusu Miss Tourism World Canada. The categories of awards and recipients are:
