Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened

BY SABRINA S. – 13 YEARS OLD

Animals bring joy and relieve stress. A home isn’t complete without animals.

As someone who is constantly told “when you have your own home, you have whatever pet you

want,” I can’t wait until the day I finally get to get a pet. I’ve already started thinking about what animal to get.

What is the best animal as a pet? I think a lot of people will have different opinions on this topic, but everyone’s needs are different.

For the longest time, sentences have been surfacing about which animal is the better: Dogs or cats?

Both animals are perfect for different types of people. People who don’t leave the house often might like cats while active health nuts might like dogs. Dogs are active and caring.

When someone gets hurt and starts bleeding, dogs come over and start licking the cut because they’re trying to comfort you.

Cats are also friendly although they are most likely to bite you compared to dogs. Once you get to know the cat, they become your best friend.

Cats aren’t good animals for looking out for their owners, cats aren’t the best guard animals. Cats are beautiful, a black cat with green eyes looks scary but they’re actually really pretty.

Dogs are cute, a smiley puppy is what everyone wants. I don’t feel the same way with Chihuahuas though, they’re little but they bite a lot, and it hurts.

When I get my own house, I will get an animal even though I don’t know which animal to get yet.

Whatever I get, I just know that it’ll be the perfect fit for me. All animals deserve a loving home.
