With power comes great responsibility – Stan Lee

BY SABRINA S. – 13 YEARS OLD

It’s no secret that I love Marvel, most of my family and friends have something to say about this. My love for Marvel started early on in the lockdown. I was bored so I decided to binge watch the series. It gave me something to do when a two-week break turned into two long, hard years. In 2018, Marvel’s movie “Endgame” left fans crying after the directors killed off multiple characters. One of them being Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic Iron Man was a fan favourite that inspired multiple kids and adults to change themselves.

After the events of Endgame, fans all over the world missed Iron Man and they wanted him back.

A couple of fans in California decided to buy a billboard and ask for the character’s return. The billboard reads “For our beloved hero, please bring back Tony Stark”, along with the hashtag “#BringBackTonyStarkToLife”, underneath this all, was the date  April 24th 2021, which marks two years after the release of Endgame.

Before the release of Marvel’s new Film Black Widow, fans thought Iron Man would have a cameo or even a couple of lines in the film.

Although everyone wants Iron Man back, Robert Downey Jr. has buried the rumors saying that he is done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that he won’t be returning.

Marvel’s biggest fans have been destroyed knowing that their favourite character might not return. For some fans, Marvel gave them something to look forward to, something to inspire them in their darkest times. All of the heroes gave children a reason to believe in themselves. Marvel has taught me to find the hero in myself and to always look up while the world decides to look down at the cons.
