BlackGhatGPT; Brilliance powers future tech

“AI is the new archive of our existence, and it’s time we held the pen.”

Listen, I need you to lean in for a second. We have spent centuries watching others write our stories, often smudging the ink or leaving out the best parts entirely. Now, we are standing at a new frontier…

Artificial Intelligence.

You might think it’s just silicon and math, but here is the reality; if we aren’t the ones feeding the machine, the machine will eventually starve us of our own history.

Standard AI often views our culture through a Eurocentric lens, treating “Blackness” as an edge case or, worse, a set of biased data points. When mainstream systems are asked about our lives, they often offer shallow, generic, or even harmful responses.

That is why you should care right now.

Enter Erin Reddick. She is a powerhouse, an African American technologist who saw the machine from the inside at places like Meta and Amazon. When she was laid off, she decided to take control of her relationship with technology. She founded ChatBlackGPT. It is a culturally inclusive intervention designed to center our perspectives. Reddick realized that mainstream AI was erasing or distorting African history, so she built a tool that prioritizes our narratives.

Think about the transformation here. Before, you might ask an AI for travel advice or historical context and get a logistics-only answer that ignores your safety as an African traveler or the systemic nuances of our neighborhoods. After ChatBlackGPT, you get responses grounded in the work of African historians, educators, and community voices. It uses something called Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ensure that when it speaks, it draws from our repositories first.

Why does this matter to you? Research shows the difference is real. In studies comparing ChatBlackGPT to standard models, it excelled in providing nuanced, context-aware responses with deeper historical framing. While standard AI might give you a high-school level summary, ChatBlackGPT offers college-level complexity and empathy specifically tailored to our lived experiences.

I know the tech world can feel cold. It can feel like another system designed to marginalize us, but we are doing this together. Erin is collaborating with HBCUs and community members to ensure this tool stays rooted in our truth. This is how we hold power accountable; by building our own.

I will be speaking more in the near future about the boring, but vital stuff: compliance and the ethics of AI use, because we have to be as strategic as we are bold. We are moving from being systemically constrained to being digitally empowered.

Don’t sit on the sidelines of this revolution. Recreate yourself. Right now, our community is recreating how the world’s most powerful technology understands us.

Embrace this. Learn it. Use it to heal divisions and amplify the voices that have been silenced for too long. We are protecting our community interests not just for today, but for every generation that will ever type a query into a search bar.

The pen is in our hands again. What are you going to write? Stay bold. Stay rooted. We move together.
