Digital ID is being pushed, and Canada is no exception

“Digital ID Must Be Accepted by US citizens by 2028; otherwise, risk exclusion from society.’” This quote made by Bill Gates has been making the rounds on social media, and so I have decided to investigate it from a factual point of view. Here is what I have found.

A nonprofit news outlet obtained a draft of the executive order, which states: “It is the policy of the executive branch to strongly encourage the use of digital identity documents.” That was when Joe Biden was president. According to the nonprofit news outlet, this executive order, if implemented, could reshape how Americans access government services and even behave online.

It is common knowledge that governments are working with Big Tech, like with Apple and Google, to build systems that would allow Americans to carry identity documents on their smartphones. This is being sold to the public as something to aspire to, all in the name of their safety, of course. However, the real agenda behind Digital ID is beginning to surface.

Michael Rectenwald, Ph.D., author of “The Great Reset and the Struggle for Liberty: Unraveling the Global Agenda,” told The Defender that, “As defined by the World Economic Forum (WEF), ‘digital identity is the sum total of the growing and evolving mass of information about us, our profiles, and the history of our activities online.”

Rectenwald went on to explain, “Digital identity is not merely a new, more handy, lightweight, digital form of identification. It refers to a collection of data that defines who we are, including what we do both online and offline, and not merely to a means by which we can be identified as such.”

As far back as the Biden era, Alexis Hancock, Director of Engineering for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, said, “The Biden administration’s digital ID will disproportionately target the poor and underprivileged.”  What do you mean? You may ask.

Hancock indirectly answered your question by saying, “Digital identity and the standards that dictate them are still very new, and yet the White House is expediting digital identity for the most vulnerable populations: people on public benefits.”

“Deploying various technologies on this population to access their benefits, such as facial recognition, is not something I would encourage or advise. Especially with facial recognition being fraught with issues of discrimination.”

What would Digital ID be used for? “Even if a digital identity system only serves as identification at first, as the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice notes, digital identities are prone to ‘function creep’” that is, they are intended to be used for multiple purposes that are unforeseen when the system is first designed,” Rectenwald  said.

In layman’s terms, the citizens of any land where Digital ID is implemented could be lied to as to its real purpose. Remember how Canadians found out later that during the pandemic their government used that opportunity to spy on them in more ways than one?

Let us move to the thought of a mandatory Digital ID. While some may say it cannot happen, let me humbly rewind your cassette to the COVID vaccine era. While the federal government was not able to legally mandate vaccination to all citizens, it went ahead anyway and mandated it to federal employees, and the private sector followed suit. The same can easily happen with digital identity.

This happened in the US and Canada just a few short years ago, all because the people allowed it to happen. The defense folks used was that if I lose my job, I am finished. No one stopped to think that dead people do not have jobs. Now the death from those mandatory vaccines answers that question loud and clear.

The creators and architects of Digital IDs are hoping that you will again put your job in front of your freedom. Let this sink in. If you accept Digital ID, you would not be able to complain because, just like Justin Trudeau told angry Canadians after threatening them with job loss if not vaccinated, you will be told, “I did not force you.”

Here is what Bill Gates had to say on his Digital ID scheme; Gates was asked what role the private sector would play in cooperating with governments on Digital IDs. Here is his answer, “Once you have the digital money system, then there are all sorts of services and applications that can be built on top of that, whether it is helping with health, education, or agriculture, giving people visibility into their financial status, giving them advice like whether they should take a loan. We will not be able to do that with traditional systems.”

Please take note how non-threatening and diplomatic his words are. At the same time, please remember a vampire never ever shows his teeth in daylight.

You have been warned.
