Letting healthy living at home become a part of your lifestyle

After the third lockdown, I had a feeling there was going to be multiple other lockdowns and that included gyms being closed. Some of us gave up on our fitness journey relying so much on just going to the gym. I have matured during these few years of this pandemic, and I am more determined with my lifestyle.

The gyms have been an idol for some. Some have lost their fitness motivation. Some have fallen into a deep depression. Eating disorders have resulted, however, that does not mean you should fall into the same gap as others.

Of course, working out in the gym is very motivating. However, authentic motivation starts within you. There is a saying that goes, “Who are you when no one sees you. That is truly who you are.” I have discovered how to stay motivated in these times of uncertainty.

I truly enjoy working out at the gym and I also enjoy working out at home. Working out at the gym keeps me disciplined most times more than when I am working out at home. I wish I could work out with others as often as possible. Due to my schedule and daily routine, I find that working out at home is much easier. Based on trusted resources, deciding to start exercising is easy. It gets more complicated when you have to do it. The first question is where are you going to exercise? It’s easy to join a gym, of course, but it’s also easy to pay for that membership while never using it and could affect your finances (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Major pros of joining a gym
It can result in community engagement and motivated classes. No chores are staring you in the face, no kids interrupting you, and nothing to tempt you away from your workouts. Paying for a gym membership can be expensive at times, but there’s also the boost you get from working out around other people, which drives you to reach your fitness goals (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Pros of working out at home
You don’t have to pack a bag, drive anywhere, or arrange for childcare. You could workout in your pajamas if you wanted to, and it is less expensive. You can also workout whenever you like, which is perfect if you need to split your workouts or want to work out at odd hours (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Con’s of working out at home versus gym
Lack of motivation can creep in at times. If you don’t have a variety of equipment at home, you might just get too bored with your workouts (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Excuses
When you exercise at home, there are approximately 4,987 excuses to skip your workout. If you’re not very self-motivated, you might find yourself avoiding workouts with silly chores like filing your nails etc. (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Space
You don’t need a ton of space to work out at home, but if you want a treadmill or other large piece of equipment, space is important (The Benefits of Joining Gym Vs. Working Out At Home, 2021).

Nevertheless, what matters is self-discipline, self-control, and fitness achievement. In years to come, it is guaranteed that these gyms will only be online as our world turns digital. Stay aware and let healthy living at home become a part of your lifestyle.
