Elections.
Sugarcoated bitters are gifted to earn
Humans,
Whoever listens.
Playing either sides,
The crowd speaks!
Intellectual screening exits the minds,
When fear drips down the veins like IV
Full of oxytocin.
Forcing huge decisions like induced labour.
Emergency calls for election,
Only weeks ahead to gain victory.
Distractions all around,
Spreading rumours and mockery like
Yeast into the public spaces.
Watching uninformed people run high
On assumptions,
Listening to watery theoretical speeches with no substance.
Filling up stomachs
Of terrified misconceptions,
That would not sustain in the long run
Yet folks will not listen.
Choosing the lesser of multiple evils.
Some charming in words with opposite
Effort in their actions.
Some with decent intentions, but not
Enough confidence from citizens.
Some need to be more realistic.
Opinions everywhere
Emotions spiralling out of control.
A place that was high in pride
Comes into misguided views,
There is no rose in this political pavement.
Only questions of what will happen,
Another repeat or more tribulations
Hitting our doors.
