Peel Regional Police videographer rallies his fellow teammates for Thanksgiving donation

For the past few years, James Worthington, one of the highly talented videographers on the Peel Regional Police Corporate Communications team, has rallied fellow teammates, along with members of other areas of the service, to donate toiletries and money to either a homeless shelter or a place in need within the Region of Peel for Thanksgiving.

This year, he decided that the recipient of the donation should be the Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre. It is a short-term shelter for women and children who are survivors of family and intimate partner violence.

Throughout the months of August, September, and October of this year, James diligently raised money and collected greatly needed supplies, such as toiletries, clothes, and toys, from his Peel Regional Police compatriots. On Monday, Oct. 15^th, 2021, over $1000.00 in supplies was delivered to the very grateful residents and staff of the centre.

“This kindness could not be done by just me alone. I rally everyone up, sure, but it is the kindness of those around me that make this worthwhile. It truly feels like a team effort.”
